Code of Meeting Practice amendments on exhibition

On 27 November 2017 Council resolved to publicly exhibit a proposed amended Code of Meeting Practice that provides for:

  • Council meetings on the second and fourth Monday of the month from February to November and the second Monday in December

  • Meetings to alternate between Gosford and Wyong and commence at 6.30pm

  • Continued livestreaming of meetings

Other changes include a simplified order of business (page 13 of the Code) and the removal of the need for Councillors to stand when asking a question at a Council meeting (page 14 of the Code)

As required by section 253 of the Local Government Act 1993, the amended Code of Meeting Practice will be on exhibition for a minimum of 42 days in order to seek public submissions.

A copy of the code with proposed amendments can be downloaded from this webpage.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and will be accepted until 5pm Monday 22 January 2018 by email (preferred) ask@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au or post PO Box 20, Wyong NSW 2259.
