Draft Central Coast Privacy Management Plan Policy

Draft Central Coast Privacy Management Plan Policy

This public exhibition has now concluded.

Keeping your personal information private and secure is a key priority for Central Coast Council. That's why we are seeking your feedback on the Draft Central Coast Privacy Management Plan Policy.

The Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act) requires all councils to have a Privacy Management Plan outlining their policies and practices to ensure compliance with the requirements of the PPIP Act and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (HRIP Act).

The proposed Policy outlines how Council manages personal information in accordance with the PPIP Act and HRIP Act. It is based on the model document provided by the Information and Privacy Commission (IPC).

While the Policy was last updated in 2022, it has been reviewed and updated in accordance with recent changes to the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act), ensuring its processes are up to standard and contemporary and aligning it with the newly reviewed Data Breach Policy.

Have Your Say

Between 13 December 2023 and 13 February 2024 we sought community feedback and encouraged written submissions.
