My Place: East Brisbane Water and Coastal

Bensville, Bouddi, Box Head, Daleys Point, Davistown, Empire Bay, Green Point, Hardys Bay, Killcare, Killcare Heights, Kincumber, Kincumber South, Pretty Beach, Saratoga, St Huberts Island, Wagstaffe, Yattalunga, Avoca Beach, Copacabana, Erina Heights, Forresters Beach, Holgate, MacMasters Beach, Matcham, North Avoca, Picketts Valley, Terrigal and Wamberal.

With a population of just over 66,550, this area stretches from Forrester’s Beach in the North to Bouddi in the South. Given its close proximity to Sydney, it is both a little piece of paradise for residents and an easy weekend retreat for tourists.

Few places on the coast offer such a diverse choice of areas to relax and enjoy. With lookouts offering sweeping views to Northern Sydney beaches and abundant natural beauty at every turn, the East Brisbane Water and Coastal area is an ideal place to raise a family or to retire from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

This area is a haven for water activities, offering surfing and swimming at local beaches as well as quaint seaside spots to read and relax, opportunities for beach and lake fishing, picturesque lookouts, ancient Aboriginal rock carving sites, bushwalking and rock climbing.

The coast’s most well-known tourist hotspot, Terrigal, continues to thrive with a range of boutiques, cafes, restaurants and bars offering something for everyone. If you are looking for some exercise before you hit the main street, take a walk to the top of The Skillion to take in the breathtaking views and, if you come at the right time of year, you may just be lucky enough to spot a whale!

My Place: Gosford Central

East Gosford, Erina, Gosford, Point Frederick, Springfield and West Gosford.

Gosford Central is the centre piece for the future of the Central Coast, with Gosford CBD being developed as the coast’s commercial core. These suburbs offer a full range of mixed use development including residential blocks, retail, industrial and commercial use properties as well as recreational open space and access to the coast’s waterways.

The Gosford CBD offers a hub for business and is home to one of the two Central Coast Council Offices. The CBD area also includes Gosford City Library, Kibble Park, the Smart Work Hub and access to free WIFI. Central Coast Stadium, home of the Central Coast Mariners, sits proudly on the Gosford waterfront. In addition to the local grand finals, the stadium also hosts one home game a year for the Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs, the Legends of League tournament, the finish line for the Bay to Bay Running Festival, and the annual Christmas carols.

West Gosford is the home to many of the coast’s large retail outlets, bulky good suppliers, wholesale trade, car dealers, marine and caravan retailers to cater for the consumer needs of the coasts growing population.

For those who love the café scene to those who love a spot of shopping, this area has you covered. Erina Fair Shopping Centre is the Central Coast’s largest retailer with popular department stores such as Myer, Target, Big W, Kmart, Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and over 300 speciality stores. From food courts to fine dining and cinemas, you can easily lose yourself for a day in this hive of activity.
