This public exhibition has now concluded.

In the process of considering an application to IPART to the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) for a Special Variation (rate rise), it was determined that it was appropriate to review Council’s Debt Recovery and Hardship Policy.

During consultation for the IPART application, Council received community feedback regarding capacity to pay, particularly for those experiencing hardship. As a result, Council’s Debt Recovery and Hardship Policy has been reviewed and amended for the purpose of public exhibition.

The Policy has been reviewed in accordance with the Office of Local Government’s Debt Management and Hardship Guidelines.

The draft Policy shows the additions in bold italics and deletions in strikethrough.  The Policy has also been updated to be in the new template.
