Central Coast Council has developed a draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2026-2030. This is a four-year plan that sets out real, practical steps to make our community more accessible and inclusive.

Your feedback from the last round of engagement has directly shaped this draft plan.

Now, we want you to review the draft plan and let us know if we've missed anything, so it truly reflects your needs and aspirations.

How else can I provide feedback?

  • Visit one of Council's Customer Service Centres or Libraries
    • We have paper copies of the submission form and the Draft Disability and Inclusion Action Plan at our Customer Service Centres and Libraries. We also have an easy read version available.
    • If you need help filling out the form, you can book some time with one of our friendly library staff members by calling your local library branch or emailing library@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au.
  • Attend the Auslan interpreted workshop for members of the deaf community
    • Wednesday 18 February 2026 10am-1pm at Gosford Regional Library (Level 1 Meeting Room ‘wadhayi’ – 123A Donnison St, Gosford)

    • Gosford Regional library is an accessible venue and close to public transport with bus stops and Gosford train station nearby as well as 2 drop off zones at the front of the library in Donnison Street. There is limited accessible parking across the road from the library adjacent to Kibble Park as well more accessible parking in the nearby Imperial Centre carpark.

How we engaged

Between 9 April and 9 May 2025, Council ran a community engagement program, and over 335 people took part. The aim was to understand the continuing barriers to access, what’s working, what could be improved, the progress Council has made over the past four years, and what people want to see in the next plan.
