Final concept designs ready to view

We are upgrading the skate park at Frost Reserve in Kincumber, increasing its size from 200sqm to 750sqm. Our goal is to create a bigger and better skate park with diverse features that cater to skaters and scooter riders of varying ages and abilities.

Final concept design

We appreciate everyone who either attended a workshop, completed a survey or better yet, did both! Your feedback has been worked into the final style, layout, components, and skate park type - check it out!

Your feedback on the draft concept design was taken on-board to ensure the final design included the below features:

  1. Mini ramp integrated
  2. Garden area removed
  3. Bank area repositioned with increased flow
  4. Footpath rationalised to southern edge with sports fence added
  5. Paving replaced with coloured concrete

Next steps

The demolition of the existing skate park is scheduled for mid-2025 to make way for the new amenities building. Construction of the new skate park is expected to commence in late 2025 or early 2026, with completion in 2026.

Council is fully funding the design and build of the new skate park, demonstrating our commitment to providing quality recreational spaces for the community.
