We're committed to supporting responsible animal ownership while protecting your health and safety.
The Keeping of Animals Policy was reviewed to ensure it reflects current expectations, environmental considerations and legislative requirements.
The Policy aims to provide clear guidance on the types and number of animals that may be kept on residential and semi-rural properties, helping to prevent nuisance issues such as noise, odour and waste.
The review includes minor wording updates, legislative alignment and removal of outdated references, without changing the core intent of the policy.
The policy applies to:
- Birds
- Poultry
- Rabbits
- Reptiles and more
