In collaboration with Moir Studio, we have prepared a revised concept for public feedback for the next phase of the development of Woy Woy Foreshore. There are two elements which we are currently seeking community feedback on - Anderson Park and Lions Park.
From 11 August to 22 September 2025, the community is invited to view concept designs and share their preference between key design options via the survey link above, and via pop-up events in the coming weeks. Please check back on this page for more information as these events are confirmed.
Anderson Park
Two concepts have been prepared for Anderson Park.
Option 1 (pictured below) utilises the park's existing shade with a circular seating arrangement as a feature item and linked by accessible paths.
Option 2 (pictured below) proposes an iconic sculptural deck that will provide formal and informal seating and sited to maximise deep shade provide by the existing tree canopy.
Lions Park Carpark
For Lions Park, two concepts have been created for the car parking layout.
Both options propose upgrade of the Western boat ramp with a second pontoon, with closure of the eastern boat to vehicles to improve public safety and conflict with the multi-user path. It should be noted that the Eastern boat ramp will remain available for light watercraft (i.e. sea kayak, dragon boat racing).
In the park setting, a formal coastal boardwalk is proposed including accessibility improvements to Lions Park.

Project information
The current concept builds on the work that was undertaken by Council as part of the Let’s Talk Woy Woy initiatives in 2019 and 2022, and the draft Woy Woy Waterfront Masterplan 2022.
The overall concept includes upgrades to the swimming enclosure and seawall, the siting of a renewed public amenities block and improvements to parklands and foreshore access.
Feedback received during this exhibition will help finalise the designs and ensure they reflect community values and priorities.
Council is specifically seeking input on design preferences. Broader project delivery and timing remain subject to funding and future planning.
Council worked with Indigenous representatives to embed Connection to Country in the final designs.
Playspace upgrades at Pelican and Lions Parks have already been delivered in response to community need, with further improvements to follow as resources become available.
The Woy Woy Foreshore Masterplan reflects Council’s commitment to enhancing public space, improving accessibility and investing in the long-term liveability of our region.
Previous Consultation
Master planning is about making the connection between buildings, social settings and their surrounding environments – we asked the community if we’ve gotten it right.
The community were invited to:
- View the draft Woy Woy Waterfront Masterplan
- View the frequently asked questions (available on this page)
- Talk all things Woy Woy with us at the Let’s Talk Woy Woy event which was on Thursday 19 May 2022 between 10am and 4pm at the Peninsula Leisure Centre
- Register for a virtual information session with the project team.
- Share your ideas, comments, and opinions on the interactive concept plans
- Provide feedback via an online feedback form
Feedback was accepted between 2 June and 3 July 2022.
Previous consultation results
It takes great ideas to build a strong future. We asked for your ideas, thoughts and opinions to inform the draft Woy Woy Waterfront Masterplan. The feedback was used to inform, refine and enhance the Woy Woy Waterfront Masterplan.
